You’re All I Need To Get By

by Simon

Not the superb Tammi and Gaye duet, but Diana Ross’ version from her 1970 solo album.  Slower, more sultry, with some gorgeous bass.  And that voice.  As I get older Diana Ross becomes one of my favourite singers.  The voice is more controlled than the testifiers, more subtle.  An Aretha has more tricks and tics, but Diana smoulders,  holds back more than she gives.  Gorgeous.
